When Frampton Construction needed a North Carolina partner for their industrial warehouse site development in Garner, North Carolina, the team at Cardinal Civil Contracting delivered the first phase in six months, with work underway for the second. Despite weather issues during the winter, the team kept the project on schedule by allocating the right crews when needed.
The heavy topsoil on site pushed the team to be creative in generating structural dirt via borrow pits. In addition, Cardinal built a dedicated crane access path to support Frampton’s schedule, enabling timely installation of panel walls. The project scope included building 2,900 square feet of retaining walls to enhance the site stability.
The final site required placing 9,000 tons of aggregate base course before pouring the concrete for the 216,160 square-foot building pad. Due to the site size, Cardinal took the lead on coordination with other subcontractors to make sure everyone had appropriate access to work.
